BAKERSFIELD, 10:48 a.m. PST February 25, 2001 -- Don Lundy has been vice president and general manager of Your23 since 1997. He is featured in editorials shown Friday through Monday after 23 News at 6 and 23 News at 11, as well as other times throughout the week.

A long-time employee of the McGraw-Hill Broadcasting Company, which owns Your23, KERO-TV, he has also worked as program director at KGTV in San Diego and production manager at WRTV in Indianapolis.

A native of Tulsa, Okla., Lundy graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in broadcasting and from the University of Tulsa with a masters of business administration.

Award-winning editorials are nothing new to him. As a member of the KGTV editorial board, he was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists for the best television editorials in the United States for five of six years and awarded the Sigma Delta Chi Award. Those editorials were also recognized with regional Emmys, as well as other awards.
