Devry University will soon open its doors to local students, offering an alternative to other higher education schools in Bakersfield.

A temporary location is planned to open on Truxton Extension before moving to a permanent location in the “Good Guys” Building across from the Valley Plaza mall.

Devry will offer bachelor and associate degree programs in business, electronics, computer technology and technical management.

Classes are scheduled to begin Sept. 2.
