The Dome Halloween Show -- Oct. 26, $8.00, 2201 V Street. Start off your Halloween with some rock music festivities. Horror films are always where screamo and pop punk collide, right? See Before The Fall, From Ritual To Romance, Envy Against Heroes, Dressed To Kill and Dirty Spanglish. My kids’ band is Dirty Spanglish, and they're a bunch of fun-loving high school kids. Rumor has it they’re making a silly video for the Bakersfield Condors to be played on the Jumbotron when goals are scored. The Dome itself looks like a haunted venue with its big lion statues and creepy boxing lore. The inside looks like an ancient gladiator arena. Don’t worry, it’s safe for kids. All ages are welcome. Expect the rock music to sound good and loud. I’ll be there with earplugs, but don’t expect me to share.Click for video of Dirty Spanglish premiering their new song, "We Are Man" at the Dome Halloween Show.California Living Museum’s ‘Boo At The Zoo’ -- Oct. 27.
