Ex-Marine Surrenders To Bakersfield SWAT
An ex-Marine who temporarily prevented his girlfriend from leaving their southeastern Bakersfield home Thursday was arrested after a several-hour standoff with SWAT units. Gary Paterson Jr., 30, was charged with spousal abuse and could face additional charges for the possession of an unregistered AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.
